History and Context
Founded in 2024, AGRI-ELEVEURS VISIONNAIRES POUR LA LUTTE CONTRE LA PAUVRETÉ ET LA VULNÉRABILITÉ (AEVCPV) was born from a collective recognition of the urgent challenges faced by vulnerable rural communities in Burundi. In response to persistent issues of poverty, food insecurity, and limited access to sustainable livelihoods, a group of visionary experts in agriculture and community development established the organization with the explicit aim of fostering transformative change. In its short history, AEVCPV has quickly become a dynamic platform for innovative agricultural practices, community solidarity, and sustainable development initiatives, establishing strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and private sector actors. Our programs have already demonstrated measurable impact, including a significant increase in crop yields, improved livestock health, and the empowerment of marginalized populations through capacity building and resource mobilization.
