In Gitega province, several agricultural cooperatives play an essential role in
improving the living conditions of local communities. These cooperatives are
led by Ms. Josephina Ntirandekura, a resident of Canada, whose commitment and
vision actively contribute to rural development and the fight against poverty in
Burundi.
Thanks to close collaboration with Ms. Jeanne Bukeyeneza, these initiatives
extend beyond Gitega to also include cooperatives located in the
provinces of Makamba and Rutana. This synergy between the diaspora and local stakeholders
strengthens the coordination of actions, promotes the sharing of experiences, and maximizes the impact
of the projects implemented.
