A good harvest for the season.

The Cankuzo cooperative harvested over 4 tons of corn for the single growing season A. This brings satisfaction to AEVCPV members.

Four tons and 208 kg — this was the corn harvest achieved by the Cankuzo cooperative in the current province of Buhumuza for growing season A, running from September 2025 to January 2026. A member of the association Visionary Agri-Breeders for the Fight Against Poverty and Vulnerability, AEVCPV, the Cankuzo cooperative cultivated 4.5 hectares this season. This means the average yield was one ton per hectare. This is a source of satisfaction for Kankindi Agrippine, head of this cooperative. For her, this harvest was the result of dedicated work from each of the cooperative’s more than 270 members.

This also brings satisfaction to Jean Marie Bigirimuremyi, president of AEVCPV, who takes the opportunity to thank everyone contributing to the smooth running of this project, which aims solely to combat poverty and vulnerability among the Burundian population.

Currently, AEVCPV comprises 8 cooperatives, namely the Nyanza Lac cooperative, the Minago cooperative, Kabezi, Ijenda, Gitega, Ruyigi (Kinyinya), Cankuzo, and finally Muyinga.
