With its 86 members, the Gitega cooperative, a member of the AEVCPV association, harvested 964 kilograms of maize. According to Joséphine Ntirandekura, head of the cooperative, growing season A was not very successful. Jean Marie Bigirumuremyi, president of the AEVCPV, also acknowledges that the Gitega cooperative’s activities were somewhat disrupted by the delay of FOMI fertilizer. “The funding for this cooperative was released a bit late,” notes Jean Marie Bigirumuremyi.
